Palate
Full bodied and plush, dark fruit rolls in first, blackberry and plum, then violet and a mocha oak note. Tannins are firm but rounded, acid keeps it from going heavy.
Finish
Long and warm, dark fruit lingering with a soft toast and cocoa edge that hangs on.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve it at cellar temperature, around 60 to 65 degrees, in a wide bowl red glass so the oak and violet have room. Give it a half hour in a decanter, this one opens up and the tannins settle. Pour a modest glass, it is a big wine and a little goes far.
