Nose
Ripe plum and blackberry jump out first, with a violet lift and a dusting of cocoa behind the fruit.
Palate
Plush and medium bodied, with soft rounded tannins. Blackberry and plum lead into a cocoa and violet middle, then a gentle oak sweetness. Acidity stays modest, keeping it smooth.
Finish
Finishes smooth and gently oaky, with lingering dark fruit and a touch of cocoa. Medium length.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve at about 60 to 65 degrees, slightly cool for a red. A standard Bordeaux glass works well. No decanting needed, but a quick pour and a few minutes in the glass opens the fruit. Great with steak or on its own.
