Nose

Palate
Full bodied and rounded, with sweet blackberry and dark plum up front, then a toasty oak midpalate. Tannins are smooth, acid keeps it lively, and the finish is robust and lingering.
Finish
Long and warm, echoing blackberry jam and a faint mocha note. The tannins fade slowly and cleanly.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve at about 60 to 65 degrees, in a wide bowl glass so the oak and fruit have room. Give it 20 to 30 minutes of air, either decanted or swirled in the glass, to soften the tannins. A splash of water works if you want it rounder. Avoid overchilling.
