Palate
Medium to full body, smooth and rounded in texture. Blackberry and plum come first, then pepper and a soft tannin grip. Acidity stays modest, keeping it easygoing.
Finish
Finishes with lingering black fruit and a peppery tingle. Moderate length, clean and dry.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve at about 60 to 65 degrees, slightly below room temperature. A standard red wine glass works well. No decanting needed, but a few minutes in the glass opens the pepper. If you chill it too much, the fruit shuts down, so pull it from the fridge 15 minutes before pouring.
