The story

The story behind Frey

Frey Vineyards was founded in 1980 by Jonathan and Katrina Frey in the Redwood Valley AVA of Mendocino County, California, on land the Frey family bought in 1962. It holds the distinction of being America's first certified organic and biodynamic winery, farming without synthetic pesticides or additives long before organic was a shelf tag.

That history is why we have carried Frey for decades. The farming came first, the wine followed, and the bottles have stayed honest and fairly priced the whole way. You get Mendocino fruit, clean fermentation, and a producer that never chased a trend to sell a bottle.
