Nose
Ripe blackberry and dark plum lead, then leather and a warm spice note, with a light toast from the oak sitting underneath.
Palate
Full bodied and firm, the dark fruit comes in broad and mouthfilling, plum and blackberry, before leather and baking spice take over. Tannins grip cleanly and stay assertive through the middle.
Finish
Long and dry, with the fruit fading into leather and a lingering spice that keeps you coming back for the next sip.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve it at cool room temperature, around 62 to 65 degrees, in a wide bowl glass so the tannins get some air. Decant for thirty to forty five minutes if you open it young. A splash in the glass works fine if you are impatient. Tempranillo this firm rewards patience and a little breathing.
