Nose
Ripe blackberry and cassis lead, with a light cedar note behind it. Clean and forward, no green pepper, no heavy oak.
Palate
Medium to full body, smooth and rounded in texture. Blackberry and cassis come through first, cedar sits underneath, tannins are soft and fine, acidity keeps it lively.
Finish
Smooth, easy finish of moderate length. Cassis and a dry cedar edge linger, then fade cleanly.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve at about 60 to 65 degrees, slightly below room temperature. A standard Bordeaux glass works well. No decanting needed, but a short splash opens the fruit. If it feels tight, give it fifteen minutes in the glass. Keep it away from heavy chill, which mutes the cassis.
