Nose
Ripe blackberry and dark cherry lead, with plum behind it, then a lift of mocha and sweet toasty oak. Opens up with a few minutes of air.
Palate
Full bodied and round, almost plush. Dark cherry and blackberry roll through first, plum filling the middle, mocha and toasted oak on the back. Tannins are soft and rounded, acid stays modest, so it drinks smooth without feeling flabby.
Finish
Lingers comfortably, echoing dark fruit and a faint cocoa note, fading slowly and cleanly.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve a touch below room temperature, around 62 to 65 degrees, in a wide bowl Cabernet glass so the fruit and oak have room to breathe.
