Nose
Dried apricot and dark raisin up front, then a bright pull of orange peel and clove, with toasted oak and a faint walnut shell underneath.
Palate
Full and rounded, almost oily across the tongue. Toffee and raisin arrive first, malt sweetness fills the middle, and baking spice builds gently toward the back without ever turning hot.
Finish
Long and soft, trailing off on cinnamon, dried fruit, and a faint oak dryness that lingers politely.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Pour it neat at room temperature in a tulip shaped glass or a copita, letting it sit a minute to open. Add three or four drops of water and the orange peel sharpens while the toffee softens. Skip ice, it flattens the sherry character. A splash widens it without drowning the malt.
