Nose
Ripe apricot leads, then vanilla bean and a faint clove note. The fruit smells soft and slightly candied, not fresh off the tree.
Palate
Round and silky in the mouth, honey and dried figs up front, toasted oak and a gentle spice building through the middle. Low tannin, moderate sweetness, warm but not hot.
Finish
Lingers with dried fruit and a clean oak spice tingle. Medium length, elegant and soft.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve neat in a tulip glass at room temperature, around 68 to 70 degrees. A small splash of water opens the apricot and tames the heat if you want it softer. Let it sit a minute after pouring. Skip ice, which dulls the aroma.
