The story behind Santero
Four brothers, Leopoldo, Renzo, Aldo and Adelio Santero, founded this Piedmont winery in 1958. The house sits in Santo Stefano Belbo, in the Cuneo province, between the Langhe and Monferrato growing zones. Most of the sparkling wine is made by the Charmat method, with secondary fermentation in pressurized stainless steel tanks, which keeps the Moscato aromatics fresh and the bubbles fine. The Moscato d'Asti follows a single fermentation with controlled yeast filtration.
Santero built its reputation on Moscato Bianco, with Glera and Brachetto in the mix, and on packaging that never sits still: hand-carved bottles, fluorescent geometric patterns, the Bubble of Art lines. We have carried the label for years because the wines deliver at the price.
