The story behind 99 Vines
99 Vines takes its name from California State Route 99, the highway that runs straight through the Central Valley farmland around Lodi where the grapes grow. Scotto Cellars, a family owned Lodi wine company, launched the label in 2009. These are non-vintage everyday wines built to pour, not to store.
The reds are made with muted tannins so the fruit stays juicy and forward. The Chardonnay is kept unoaked for crisp citrus and green apple. We have carried this label at the Commack store for years because it does exactly what a Tuesday night bottle should do, and nothing it should not.
