Nose
Ripe yellow apple and pear lead, with a squeeze of lemon peel and a quiet vanilla and toasted oak note behind it.
Palate
Medium body, soft and creamy through the middle from the oak. Apple and pear stay ripe and round, citrus brightens the edges, and the oak reads gentle rather than heavy.
Finish
Ends clean and fairly short, with a light toasty note and a last touch of pear.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve lightly chilled, around 50 to 55 degrees, so the oak stays soft and the fruit does not flatten. A standard white wine glass is fine, no ice. Pull it from the fridge 15 minutes before pouring, and if you have a bottle open a day or two, it holds up better than most at this price.
