Nose
Rye grain leads with cracked pepper and toasted bread crust, then a quiet caramel note and a wisp of charred oak.
Palate
Medium-full body, oily and warm. Pepper hits first, then toasted grain and a slow caramel sweetness. Rye spice stays firm through the middle, drying slightly.
Finish
Long and smooth for the proof, with pepper fading into toasted grain and a clean, faintly sweet echo.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Neat at room temperature in a tulip glass or rocks glass, or one large cube if you want it softer. A few drops of water open the grain. Let it rest a minute after pouring. Save the bottle for highballs and Manhattans too, it holds up to vermouth.
