Nose
Deep dried fig and raisin up front, then dark chocolate shavings, clove and nutmeg, a faint thread of toasted coconut.
Palate
Velvety and mouth coating, almost syrupy. Sweet sherry leads into bittersweet chocolate, fig jam, cinnamon and a gentle oak grip that keeps the sweetness in check.
Finish
Long and warm, fading slowly through chocolate and baking spice into a sweet sherry echo.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve neat at room temperature in a tulip glass or copita, and give it ten minutes to open. A few drops of water loosen the oak and pull out the coconut. Sip slowly; the high proof and thick texture reward small pours.
