Nose
Baked apple and honey first, then vanilla and toasted oak, with a lift of clove and a faint peppery edge.
Palate
Fuller than most blends, silky and rounded. Sweet malt and apple up front, vanilla and toasted oak in the middle, clove, cinnamon and a gentle pepper bite building toward the back.
Finish
Long and warming, with the spice lingering, clove and pepper fading slowly into soft oak.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve neat at room temperature in a tulip glass or a sturdy rocks glass. A few drops of water open the malt and soften the oak, but go easy. Let it sit a minute after pouring so the spice settles. No ice needed unless you want it colder.
