Nose

Palate
Thick and syrupy, almost liqueur like. Cocoa hits first, then a rush of sweet cherry and berry jam. Low acidity, no tannin, sweetness carries through to a mellow close.
Finish
Warm and lingering, with cocoa and cooked fruit fading slowly. A little goes a long way.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve slightly cool, around 60 to 65 degrees, in a small cordial or port glass. No ice needed, but a splash of cold water can lighten the syrup if you find it too thick. Pour just two ounces at a time, it is richer than it looks.
