The story

The story behind Vesica

Vesica is Polish potato vodka, launched in 2010 and made from 100% potatoes, no grain in the mash. The spirit is triple column distilled, filtered three times through activated carbon, blended with artesian well water, then finished through a ceramic candle filtration for clarity. It is unaged, bottled at 80 proof, and imported by Adamba Imports International of Brooklyn.

The bottle is the giveaway. The name comes from the vesica piscis, the shape where two circles of equal radius overlap, and the crescent 750mL and round 1 liter bottles are built to interlock along that geometry. Wine Enthusiast scored it 94 points and it took Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. We have poured it for years.
