The story behind Stellar Organics
Stellar Organics is a South African winery near Vredendal, in the Lower Olifants River Valley of the Western Cape. The Rossouw brothers founded it in 2000 as a joint venture with local independent farmers, and the first organic vintage came in 2001. Willem Rossouw ran it as managing director, and the Cape wine company Vinimark acquired the brand in late 2025.
Organic here is a farming commitment, not a label flourish: certified vineyards, no synthetic inputs, and a fair-trade structure built around the growers who supply the fruit. We have poured these wines for years because the price stays honest and the farming stays real. The grapes are Western Cape workhorses, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinotage and Shiraz, made clean and dry.
