Redemption Bourbon
Rye built bourbon, poured in Commack since the beginning
The story behind Redemption
Redemption was founded in 2010 by Dave Schmeer and Michael Kandar, who set out to redeem rye, America's dominant spirit before Prohibition. The whiskey is distilled and aged at the Ross & Squibb distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and Redemption selects, blends and bottles it, with the sourcing printed on the label. The core bourbon runs 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, aged in new charred American oak and bottled non chill filtered.
In 2015 Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits acquired the brand. A 2026 refresh led by Master Blender Alan Kennedy brought the flying eagle emblem and pushed the baseline bottles from 84 to 92 proof. We have carried Redemption Bourbon through every one of those changes.

Step to the Wheated Bourbon at $39.99 when you want softness over spice. The 9 Years Barrel Proof at $89.99 is the special occasion pour, cask strength and nine years in oak. 36% rye cuts through bitters and sugar, so an Old Fashioned stays dry.
96 proof and winter wheat give a soft, rounded glass with no harsh edge.
Nine years and barrel proof, a batch by batch bottle worth setting aside.
