Patrizi Dessert
Two honest Piedmont bottles, poured at our Commack counter.
The story behind Patrizi
Moscato d'Asti comes from Piedmont in northwest Italy, made from the Muscat Blanc grape in a lightly sparkling style called frizzante. It is gently sweet, low in alcohol and full of peach and orange blossom, which is why it lands on dessert lists and brunch tables alike. Gavi, from the same region, is the opposite mood: dry, crisp and mineral, made from the Cortese grape.
We keep the Patrizi pair here in Commack, one sweet and one dry, and both are small allocations for us.
