Organic Wine Works Organic
Sulfite-free organic California reds from a Felton pioneer.
The story behind Organic Wine Works
Organic Wine Works comes out of Hallcrest Vineyards in Felton, California, founded by Chafee Hall in 1941. The winery later built this label to prove a point: that a wine could be certified organic and sulfite-free and still taste like wine. It became the first organic processor recognized by the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, and every bottle follows USDA 100% Organic rules.
No added sulfur dioxide, total sulfur under 10 ppm, organic yeasts, grapes from Mendocino, Lake County and the Santa Cruz Mountains. Many lots go unfiltered and unfined, and select reds see French oak. We have poured these for years because they are honest, affordable and they hold up at the table.

Which Organic Wine Works is right for you?
The pricing here is the reason these bottles move. Radical Red sits at $9.99, and the Maverick Merlot, Radical Cab and Surf'n Syrah all land at $12.99, which puts real certified organic, sulfite-free California red into everyday rotation rather than special occasion territory. You are not paying a premium for the certification. You are paying for grapes grown without synthetic inputs and a winery that has been doing this since before it was fashionable.
