Montaukila Tequila
Small batch tequila, stocked in Commack, poured on Long Island.
The story behind Montaukila
Tequila is a spirit distilled from the blue Weber agave plant, and it is made in specific regions of Mexico, most famously Jalisco. Blanco tequila is unaged or lightly rested, so it keeps the fresh agave character, a clean vegetal edge and a peppery finish. Flavored expressions like pomegranate take that base and add fruit, which softens the bite and makes for easy sipping or mixing.
We keep Montaukila on our Commack shelves in small numbers, one or two bottles at a time. It is a local label we are glad to carry, and we describe it by what is in the bottle rather than a story we cannot verify.

Which Montaukila is right for you?
Both Montaukila bottles are priced at $39.99 for a 750mL bottle. The Pomegranate is currently in stock at our Commack store, and the Blanco is listed as out of stock, so ask us about it before you make the trip. At this price it is an easy bottle to keep on hand for margaritas or a simple pour over ice.

Unaged agave character, best chilled and sipped slowly.
Montaukila cocktails and pairings
Serve the Pomegranate over ice with lime, or shake it into a margarita; the Blanco works neat or in a paloma.
