Maestro Dobel Tequila
Estate blue agave tequila from Jalisco, poured in Commack since the beginning.
The story behind Maestro Dobel
Maestro Dobel comes from the lowlands near the base of the Tequila Volcano in Jalisco, where single estate blue Weber agave is harvested at eight to twelve years old. It is made at the historic La Rojeña distillery, NOM 1122, in the town of Tequila. Founder Juan Domingo Beckmann Legorreta, eleventh generation of his family's tequila line, built the acronym Dobel from his own name and launched the brand in 2003.
Agave piñas slow cook in masonry stone ovens for 36 to 48 hours, ferment 72 hours, and run twice through copper alembic stills. In 2009 the house released Diamante, the first commercial Cristalino tequila, blending Reposado, Añejo and Extra Añejo and charcoal filtering the color out while the oak stays in.
