Lost Angel Chardonnay
California Chardonnay, stainless steel, bright peach, no oak mask.
The story behind Lost Angel
Lost Angel Chardonnay comes out of California, and the label started life under EOS Estate Winery, the Arciero family operation founded in the mid 1980s. In 2010 Bill Foley and Foley Family Wines & Spirits bought the portfolio, and the Chardonnay has stayed what it always was: a value white built for the table, not the tasting panel.
The grapes are 100% Chardonnay, sourced across California lots, often the Central Coast. Fermentation and aging happen mostly in stainless steel, so you get yellow apple, ripe peach and pear instead of a buttered oak plank. We have poured it in Commack for years because it overdelivers at the price.
