The story behind La Sorte
Amarone is a rich red from the Veneto in northeast Italy, made mostly from Corvina grapes that are dried before pressing. That drying concentrates the fruit, so the wine pours deep and full, with dark cherry, dried fig, cocoa and a warm, dry finish. It is a slow sipper, not a light table red.
