The story behind Dubouchett
Dubouchett traces to Chicago in 1891, when Stanley M. Many and the importing firm Many, Blanc & Co. built a liquor and tobacco business. After Prohibition ended, the firm registered its sweet cordials under the Dubouchett name in 1934. Schenley bought the brand in 1945, and Heaven Hill has owned and produced it since 1993.
Production moved from Lawrenceburg, Indiana to Bardstown, Kentucky, where the line runs on neutral grain spirit and a smooth grape brandy base for the fruit expressions. No oak aging here, which keeps the mint, almond and berry profiles clean and bright. We have sold these liter bottles to home bartenders and restaurant bars for years because they mix honestly and cost little.
