Bartenura Kosher
Kosher Italian wines from the blue bottle people know.
The story behind Bartenura
Bartenura arrived in America in 1978, when the Herzog family's Royal Wine Corporation brought its first dry Italian kosher imports, a Valpolicella and a Soave, to the US market. The name honors Rabbi Ovadia ben Avraham of Bertinoro, the 15th century Italian rabbi known simply as The Bartenura. Grapes come from premier Italian ground, chiefly Piedmont including the Asti DOCG zone, and the Provincia di Pavia in Lombardy.
In 1992 Royal Wine put its Moscato in a cobalt blue bottle, the first wine sold that way, and it became a phenomenon. Production stays under strict kosher supervision from crush to bottling, managed entirely by Sabbath observant Jews, with no non-kosher finings. Cold fermentation preserves the fresh sweetness of the flagship Moscato.

The lineup runs from the famous blue bottle Moscato to dry Italian reds and sparkling pours, so there is a Bartenura for the table and one for the toast.
