The story

The story behind Badger Mountain

Badger Mountain Vineyard sits in Kennewick, Washington, inside the Columbia Valley AVA. Bill Powers planted the estate in 1982 and moved it to organic viticulture in the late 1980s, earning USDA Certified Organic status in 1990, the first wine grape vineyard in Washington State to do it.

The core Badger Mountain line goes further than most organic labels: no added sulfites, no preservatives, plus gluten free, vegan friendly and non GMO declarations printed right on the bottle. Whites ferment in stainless steel to keep the fruit clean. Reds see light neutral oak. That is the whole trick, and it has held up for three decades on our shelf.

Buying guidance

Which Badger Mountain is right for you?

Pricing here is honest. The Chardonnay and Riesling run $13.99, the Cabernet and Merlot $17.99, and the 375mL Port $17.99. For certified organic fruit with no added sulfites, that is a fair number, and it is the reason we have kept the line stocked for years. Buy Badger Mountain online or walk in and pull it off the shelf yourself. All five are listed as out of stock right now, so call us at (631) 343-7200 and we will tell you when the next drop lands.
