Ammunition Cabernet
Sonoma Cabernet, blended with intent, poured for decades.
The story behind Ammunition
Ammunition launched its first vintage in 2014, the work of co-founders Andy Wahl and Bill Kerr under their Daylight Wine & Spirits umbrella, established in 2013. The fruit comes from Sonoma County, with select vintages pulling from Paso Robles and the broader North Coast.
The Cabernet is not a single-varietal wine. Roughly 90% Cabernet Sauvignon carries about 10% Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc for structure and a savory edge. Five percent of the Cabernet is barrel-fermented apart from the rest to soften tannins, then the blend rests 18 months in French oak, 35% to 50% new depending on vintage.
Explore the Ammunition range
Ammunition keeps a tight lineup: Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, a Red Blend, plus Straight Bourbon and Straight Rye for the whiskey side of the shelf.

Which Ammunition is right for you?
Ammunition Cabernet Sauvignon sits at $16.99 for the 750mL, and the Pinot Noir matches it at $16.99. The Chardonnay and Red Blend run $24.98. On the spirits side, Straight Bourbon and Straight Rye are each $29.99. That puts the Cabernet in genuine value territory for a Sonoma County bottling aged 18 months in French oak, and it is the bottle we hand people who want a serious weeknight red without the serious price.
