The story

The story behind 90+ Cellars

90+ Cellars launched in late 2009, founded by Kevin Mehra with wine director Brett Vankoski under Latitude Beverage Company in the Boston area. The model is the old négociant trade rebuilt for modern shelves: the company owns no vineyards and crushes no grapes. Instead it buys finished, overproduced wine from wineries with a history of 90+ point reviews, signs non-disclosure agreements, and rebottles it under anonymous Lot numbers.

That is why the source estate stays nameless and the price stays low. Each Lot is a distinct batch tied to a varietal and a region, and the Cabernet side of the book leans on Mendoza and California. We have poured these for years because the arithmetic works: serious fruit, quiet label, fair money.

The lineup

Explore the 90+ Cellars range

The Cabernet lineup runs from Mendoza value to structured California lots, each one a numbered batch rather than an estate bottling.

90+ Cellars cocktails and pairings

Cabernet wants fat and char. Serve these at 60 to 65 degrees, and give the bigger lots half an hour of air.
Good to know

90+ Cellars questions, answered

Does 90+ Cellars actually own any vineyards?
No. 90+ Cellars is a virtual winery built on the négociant model, so it owns no land, no vineyards and no grape processing facilities. It buys finished wine from established producers and rebottles it under its own Lot numbers.
Why are 90+ Cellars wines so cheap compared to other premium wines?
The savings come from skipping vineyard overhead and long brand building. 90+ Cellars buys surplus finished wine from premium makers who want to move inventory quietly, then passes most of that discount to you at the shelf.
What do the Lot Numbers mean on the bottle?
Each Lot number is a distinct batch release tied to a specific varietal and region. Lot 53 is the Mendoza Cabernet, and the number is how you track a bottle you liked across vintages and store shelves.
Can you find out which winery originally made a 90+ Cellars wine?
No. The brand operates under strict non-disclosure agreements with its winery partners. Naming the source would undercut that producer's ability to sell its remaining inventory at full price, so the label stays anonymous.
How do I get 90+ Cellars Cabernet delivered or pick it up?
We offer same-day or next-day delivery across Nassau and Suffolk, free local delivery over $250, and free curbside pickup at our Commack store. Wine ships only to states where it is legal, confirmed at checkout.
