Nose
Warm cooked agave, soft vanilla, and a wisp of charred oak. A faint orange peel lifts the sweetness, with a little black pepper underneath.
Palate
Rounded and lightly oily in the mouth. Caramel and baked agave lead, then toasted oak and a gentle spice that keeps the sweetness in check. Medium weight, smooth, no burn.
Finish
Clean and warm, fading with vanilla and a last flicker of pepper. Moderate length, easy to return to.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve neat at room temperature in a small tulip glass or a sturdy copita, letting it sit a minute to open. A single ice cube softens the oak if you want it looser. For a highball, use plenty of ice and a grapefruit twist, and skip the salt rim so the caramel shows.
