Nose
Sweet vanilla and caramel rise first, then toasted oak and a dusting of cinnamon and clove. A faint orange peel note peeks through.
Palate
Medium bodied and rounded, with caramel up front, warm vanilla in the middle, and baking spice and toasted oak on the back. Sweetness stays in check, never cloying.
Finish
Gentle and slightly sweet, with lingering vanilla and soft oak. Medium length, easy going down.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Neat at room temperature in a small snifter, or over one large cube if you want it colder and a touch diluted. The 50ml bottle is a single pour, so skip the decanter. A splash of water opens the vanilla, but go easy; too much washes out the spice.
