Nose
Toasted oak leads, then vanilla bean and a dusting of cocoa. Orchard fruit, baked apple and a hint of pear, sits underneath. A faint clove and nutmeg spice lifts the whole thing.
Palate
Round and oily in texture, with a sweetness up front from the vanilla and char. Dark chocolate and toasted oak come through mid-palate, backed by a gentle spice and soft orchard fruit. Moderate body, smooth but with real depth.
Finish
Lingers warm and dry, with chocolate and oak fading slowly. A last flicker of spice keeps it interesting.
How to serve and what to pour it with
