Nose
Ripe black cherry and crushed raspberry lead, with a faint dusting of cinnamon and a clean grape sweetness underneath.
Palate
Medium bodied and rounded, sweeter than Blanc but not cloying. Berry compote and cherry drop up front, then a soft spice tingle and a smooth, almost silky mid palate.
Finish
Gentle and clean, with the cherry fading slowly and a light warm spice lingering.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Chill it well, around 45 to 50 degrees, in a small wine glass or a tumbler with a couple of large ice cubes. The ice opens the fruit and tames the sweetness. A thin slice of orange or a single raspberry in the glass is a good move. Drink it fresh, not over ice that has sat too long.
