Nose
Toasted coconut leaps out first, then vanilla bean and a swirl of clove and cinnamon. A faint woodsy note from the Mizunara drifts in as it opens.
Palate
Full and oily, almost chewy. Sweet vanilla and coconut up front, then baking spice and a gentle oak char. Warm but not hot, with a soft caramel edge.
Finish
Long and warming. The coconut fades slowly into spice and a lingering toasted oak note that keeps you coming back.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Neat in a glencairn at about 70 degrees, or a splash of water to open the coconut and tame the proof. Let it rest five minutes after pouring. A single large ice cube works if you want it colder, but skip small cubes that dilute too fast.
