The story behind Western Son
Western Son started in 2011, when a small group of entrepreneurs left the corporate world and set up in Carrollton, Texas. The operation outgrew that room and moved into a 30,000 square foot facility in Pilot Point, a building that once turned out undergarments. The vodka is built on 100 percent American yellow corn, column-distilled ten times through a 20 foot still fitted with copper plates, then filtered four times and cut to proof. In October 2025, Sazerac Company acquired the brand and the Pilot Point distillery.
We have poured Texas corn vodka across this counter for years, and the corn base is what you taste: clean, faintly sweet, no burn at the back. The flavored line gets real fruit juice pressed in, not candy flavoring.
