The story

The story behind Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent Van Gogh Vodka comes out of Schiedam, Netherlands, at the historic Royal Dirkzwager Distillery, with packaging and production tied to Distillery Cooymans International in Tilburg. David Van de Velde co-founded the brand through Luctor International in 1999, and the flagship unflavored vodka hit shelves in January 2000. Third-generation Master Distiller Tim Vos has run the stills since 2001.

The base is a multi-grain wheat blend drawn from Holland, Germany and France, run through multi-column stills and traditional copper pots in small batches. The clear vodka rests in glass two months before bottling. Flavors are not dumped in at the end; the house runs a six-week, all-natural double infusion, putting real fruit and spice into the spirit twice so the liquid stays clear while the profile goes deep. We have carried the line for years and the espresso bottlings move fastest.
