Villa Campobello Chianti
Two honest Chiantis from a small label we carry in Commack.
The story behind Villa Campobello
Chianti is the classic Sangiovese red of Tuscany, and the standard bottling is bright and food friendly, with tart cherry and a dry, lightly earthy finish. Chianti Riserva spends extra time aging before release, so it tends to come across a touch rounder and more savory than the regular bottling.
Villa Campobello is a small label we stock in limited quantity at our Commack store, usually a bottle or two at a time. We cannot tell you a founding story we have not verified, so we will simply say both are solid, affordable examples of the style.

Which Villa Campobello is right for you?
These are value priced Chiantis. The standard Villa Campobello Chianti is $9.99 and the Chianti Riserva is $11.99, both for a 750mL bottle. For two dollars more the Riserva gives you a fuller, more savory glass, and either one works well at a weeknight table without stretching the budget.
Affordable, bright and dry, made for red sauce and a Tuesday dinner.
Rounder and savory, enough body for braised meat and longer meals.
Villa Campobello cocktails and pairings
