The story

The story behind Vigneti

Vigneti started in Verona in 1925, when four brothers, Natale, Nicola, Riccardo and Umberto, came up from Puglia and set up shop in the Veneto. A century on, the house still sources by region rather than by label: Montepulciano from calcareous clay in Abruzzo, Cabernet and Merlot from Friuli Venezia Giulia, and the southern reds that fill our 1.5L shelf.

What makes Vigneti worth your ten dollars is what it does not do. The reds are vinified and aged in stainless steel, so the fruit stays primary and the tannins stay soft instead of getting buried under oak chips. We have poured these at the counter for years because they taste like the grape on the label, not like a marketing department.

Five everyday Italian reds and one sweet white, mostly in 1.5L. The liter-and-a-half format is the point: one bottle covers a table.

Buying guidance

Which Vigneti is right for you?

Here is the honest math on Vigneti. The Nero d'Avola 1.5L runs $11.98, and the Sangiovese and Syrah 1.5L sit at the same $11.98. The Pinot Noir and Moscato 1.5L come in at $8.99, though both are currently out of stock and worth a call before you drive over. That works out to roughly four standard bottles in one, which is why restaurants and backyard hosts keep coming back to this shelf. Buy Vigneti online and pick it up curbside in Commack, or take free local delivery over $250.

Vigneti cocktails and pairings

Vigneti reds want food with acid and salt, not ceremony. Serve slightly cool, 60 to 65 degrees, and let the bottle breathe ten minutes.
Good to know

Vigneti questions, answered

Where is Vigneti wine from?
Vigneti began in Verona, in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy, in 1925. The brand now also sources from Abruzzo and Friuli Venezia Giulia, so the region depends on the bottle.
Is Vigneti wine sweet?
Most Vigneti reds are dry, including the Nero d'Avola, Sangiovese, and Syrah. The Moscato is the sweet one, with peach and orange blossom notes and low alcohol, so check the label.
Who founded Vigneti and when?
Four brothers, Natale, Nicola, Riccardo, and Umberto, founded Vigneti in Verona in 1925 after moving north from Puglia. The house has stayed value-focused and regionally sourced since.
What grape is Vigneti red made from?
It depends on the expression. The Abruzzo red is 100 percent Montepulciano, while the Friuli bottlings are varietal Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The Nero d'Avola and Sangiovese are single-variety too.
Do you deliver Vigneti wine locally or ship it?
We offer same-day or next-day delivery across Nassau and Suffolk, free curbside pickup in Commack, and free local delivery over $250. Wine shipping goes only to states where it is legal, confirmed at checkout.
