Torrediluna Pinot Grigio
Crisp Italian whites, stocked small and priced fair in Commack.
The story behind Torrediluna
Pinot Grigio is a light, dry white grape that makes some of the most refreshing everyday wine in the world. The Italian style, the one most of us grew up drinking, is picked early for bright acidity, so it pours pale and lean with green apple, pear, lemon and a clean mineral finish. It is not a wine to overthink. Chill it, pour it, and it works.
We keep Torrediluna in the small-brand section here in Commack, one or two bottles at a time. The Pinot Grigio is the classic light pour, and the Sauvignon White sits right beside it for anyone who wants a little more citrus snap.
