The story behind Seaglass
Seaglass launched in 2009 under Trinchero Family Estates, the Napa Valley family winery that has been making wine since 1948. The Pinot Noir comes from California's Central Coast, with grapes heavily drawn from the Los Alamos Vineyard in Santa Barbara County, where porous sandy soil drains fast and stresses the vines into small, concentrated clusters. Winemaker Christine Morrison keeps intervention low so coastal acidity stays intact.
It is 100 percent Pinot Noir, aged in small oak tanks for subtle complexity without burying the fruit. The brand holds 100 percent Certified Sustainable status through both the SIP program and the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance. We have poured it at this counter for years because it drinks like a wine twice its price.
