Rocca Giovanni Barolo
Two bottles of Piedmont Barolo, hand picked for Commack.
The story behind Rocca Giovanni
Barolo is made from Nebbiolo in the hills around the town of Barolo in Piedmont, northwest Italy. The grape gives a pale garnet wine with firm tannin, high acid and aromas of rose, tar, dried cherry and earth. Traditional bottlings age slowly and reward patience; the Langhe hills and their foggy autumns are what shaped the style.
We keep Rocca Giovanni in the shop in very small numbers, one or two bottles at a time, so what you see here is close to what sits on our Commack shelf.

Which Rocca Giovanni is right for you?
The Rocca Giovanni Barolo 750mL is $39.99 and the Bricco Ravera 750mL is $59.98. Both are honest entry points into Piedmont Nebbiolo, and the single vineyard bottling costs more because it comes from one named site. With one or two bottles on the shelf, call ahead and we will confirm what is in stock.
Approachable price for braised beef and a long dinner at home.
Single vineyard Nebbiolo with the structure to hold for years.
Rocca Giovanni cocktails and pairings
Barolo wants fat and earth on the plate, and it needs time in a decanter before you pour.
