The story behind Papi
Papi Wines launched in New York in 2006, was discontinued, then relaunched in 2008 from a New Jersey corporate base. The sangria line itself is produced in Spain, where young Monastrell grapes are blended into a Demi-Sec wine punch following traditional Spanish recipes. Natural citrus extracts and a touch of proprietary spice do the rest. No barrel aging, no fuss, just a young vibrant base wine built to be poured cold.
We have carried Papi Sangria at the Commack store for years, and it moves fastest in warm weather. The red original runs 9% ABV, light enough to drink over ice without a second thought. That is the whole point of the style.
