Mezzopiano Italian Red
A soft Veneto red we keep just a bottle or two of.
The story behind Mezzopiano
Ripasso is a red wine style from the Veneto, made by running Valpolicella wine back over the skins left from Amarone. That second pass pulls extra color, body and dried fruit character into a wine that still drinks easy and stays food friendly. It is richer than a plain Valpolicella but not heavy like Amarone.
We stock Mezzopiano Ripasso here in Commack in small quantity, one or two bottles at a time, so it moves fast. Ask us at the counter and we will tell you honestly what is on the shelf.

Enough body to stand up to braised meat and tomato.

Pour it with rich, savory food where the wine's soft fruit can do the work.
