The story behind Lis Neris
Pinot Grigio from Friuli in northeast Italy tends to be a step up from the light, neutral versions many people know. Cool nights and gravelly soils there give the grape more texture and a saline edge, often with a touch of spice and stone fruit rather than plain citrus water. Lis Neris farms in that Friuli tradition, and we keep their Gris and Cabernet in the shop in very small numbers.
