The story behind Line 39
Line 39 takes its name from the 39th parallel, the latitude that runs just north of Napa Valley where the brand's first grapes came off the vine. The label started as a value California project and was acquired in 2014 by O'Neill Vintners & Distillers, the house Jeff O'Neill founded in 2004. Winemaker Alyssa Reynolds handles the standard and organic portfolios.
The core rose is built on California Pinot Noir, made low intervention to hold bright fruit and crisp acidity. The parent company is a Certified B Corporation running a Certified Sustainable facility with water recycling and solar power behind most of its bottling. We have poured this pink for years because it stays dry and honest at a price that does not ask for forgiveness.
