Lancatay Cabernet
Small-run Cabernet and Malbec, kept in the Commack racks.
The story behind Lancatay
Cabernet Sauvignon is the structured red most of us picture when we think of a steak wine: firm tannin, dark fruit, and a finish that hangs on. Malbec, its softer cousin, leans rounder and juicier. Both are everyday reds in the right hands, and both reward a little air in the glass before you pour.
We keep Lancatay in Commack in very small quantity, one or two bottles at a time, so what you see is what we have. Call ahead and we will hold a bottle behind the counter for you.

Which Lancatay is right for you?
Both Lancatay bottles are $10.99 for a 750mL, which is honest everyday red pricing. We stock just one or two at a time, so availability moves fast. Call the shop at (631) 343-7200 to confirm a bottle is on the shelf before you drive over, and we will set it aside.
Firm tannin stands up to charred burgers and steak without costing much.
Rounder fruit and gentle tannin for anyone who finds Cabernet too grippy.
Lancatay cocktails and pairings
Pour either bottle with food, and give the Cabernet a few minutes of air first.
