Hpnotiq Cordials
Blue French cordial, Cognac backbone, poured cold since 2001.
The story behind Hpnotiq
Hpnotiq was invented on Long Island in 2001 by Raphael Yakoby, then produced and bottled in the Cognac region of France. Heaven Hill Brands bought the label in January 2003 and still makes it. The recipe is not a flavored vodka shortcut: triple-distilled French vodka, natural tropical fruit juices, and five Cognac crus, Grande and Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois, and Bons Bois, aged in French oak before blending.
It is blended at Distillerie Merlet et Fils in Chérac, France, and bottled at 17% ABV, 34 proof. The ocean blue is certified added color, inspired by a perfume bottle Yakoby saw at Bloomingdale's. We have poured it for Long Island customers for two decades, and it still turns a room when the Cognac hits the glass.
