The story behind Hooters
Hooters Rum is Puerto Rico rum, distilled on multi-column stills from sugar cane molasses and bottled under private label for the US market. The line arrived in July 2019 through a partnership between Hooters of America, LLC and United Spirits, Inc., built to stock the restaurant bars and then the retail shelf.
The Light Rum is fermented from standard molasses and filtered clean, so it stays clear and mixable. The Gold Rum takes oak barrel time and picks up caramel, oak and vanilla. Both come in 1 liter bottles at 80 proof, which is the honest reason they move: volume, consistency, a fair price. No competition medals hang on this label, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Two rums carry the Hooters label in our rum category: a clear mixer and an oak aged gold. Both 1 liter, both 80 proof, both built for the well.

Which Hooters is right for you?
The pricing is the point. Hooters Gold Rum 1L and Hooters Light Rum 1L both sit at $13.99, which puts a full liter of 80 proof Puerto Rico rum under fourteen dollars and change. The gin and vodka land at $12.99, the cinnamon whiskey at $15.99, and the gold tequila at $22.99. For a bar cart, a party cooler or a home well, that math works. We have sold value bottles for three decades and we know which ones come back for a second liter. These do.
Clear, crisp and cheap enough to pour freely into Mojitos and Daiquiris.
Oak and vanilla make it a natural floater on a Hurricane.
A full liter of aged gold rum at $13.99 is hard to argue with.
